THEY CAME IN AND HAD VISION AND THE 3 OF THEM WORK TOGETHER AND JUST CREATED THE SPACE FOR A CITY THAT IN THE END, THEY JUST MADE IT COMFORTABLE AND COZY. I WANTED TO BE A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN COME HAVE A GREAT MEAL. FEEL COMFORTABLE, RELAXED HERE TO WONDERFUL MUSIC. WE HAVE LIVE PIANO EVERY NIGHT THAT WE'RE OPEN, THE EXCEPTION OF WEDNESDAY IS WHEN WE ACTUALLY HAVE A LIVE JAZZ BAND EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AND WE WANT THEM A NEW FEATURE FRESH CREATIVE FOOD BAR. CHEF CHANGES THE MENU DAILY. WE HAVE THE SAME STEAKS ON THE MENU EVERY DAY WE USE THE USDA. PRIME CUTS TAKES FROM ONE RANCH IN THE MIDDLE OF KANSAS. THE REST OF OUR DISHES OR CHEF CREATES EVERY DAY WITH FRESH LOCAL SEAFOOD CHICKEN DUCK RACK OF LAMB, DIFFERENT CUTS. HE'S ALWAYS CHANGING. FIRST AND FOREMOST, IT'S A STEAKHOUSE. SO YOU'RE GOING TO COME HERE. YOU CAN GET A REALLY GOOD STEAK. AND THEN THERE'S, YOU KNOW, THE SIDES THAT ARE SEASONAL AND ROTATE AS WELL. I'm meteorologist KD Campbell in the Wral Severe weather center, we tied the record high. 92 degrees was also our 1st 90 degree day of the year out at RDU. That typically happens around May 11th and we average about 290 degree days during the month of May. However, the normal high in early May is just 77. For comparison, the record was tied going back to 2010 for that record. Today. Tomorrow, we're forecasting 90 the record's 93 a long standing record set all the way back in 1959. Let's talk about the weekend. It is not going to be so hot this weekend, but we've got the chance for some scattered showers and storms and it's going to be feeling a bit more humid as we see more moisture moving in 83 on Saturday, 81 on Sunday. We have high resolution model data available for Saturday and that's giving us a better idea of the hour by hour rain chances. So we customize these numbers for you when we went through our afternoon forecast cycle, about a 20% chance of rain in the morning through noon. A 30% chance during the early afternoon and rain chances peak at 40% so scattered storms late in the afternoon and into the evening future casts gives you a good idea of what we could see for the day Friday. We're likely to see dry weather throughout the day hitting 90 for a high at night. We can't rule out a stray storm pushing into our western counties but only a 20% chance Saturday, The axis of heavier rain is likely to stay just west of us. We could see some scattered showers and storms later in the day. And then Sunday as that boundary shifts east, we'll have a better chance of rain and storms. These are still going to be scattered in nature. So we're going with about a 50% chance of storms Sunday. Let's talk about the drought update. This was updated today and it shows abnormally dry conditions in yellow are expanding across the state. We're not upgraded to moderate drought anywhere at this point, but the abnormally dry region expanded by 20% from last week to this week. So we really need some rain. Saturday. I'm thinking a quarter of an inch of rain or less. We could see a little bit more on Sunday and you'll have additional chances for scattered storms Monday and Tuesday after that, just smaller rain chances, but the heat is back by Wednesday and Thursday of next week. We've got a couple of 90 degree days on the horizon.
